On October 19th, Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) announced the suspension of support to life-saving surgical activities at Bashair Hospital in Khartoum, Sudan.

Nothing justifies such a shocking attack on patients, healthcare workers, and the people seeking shelter in the hospital. 

Mass killing of civilians is sickening and must be condemned in all possible terms. Horrific violence has been wreaked over the last 10 days.

The situation in Gaza is catastrophic; the hospitals are overwhelmed. The number of wounded is extremely high – there is a constant influx into all the hospitals in the Gaza Strip. The medical teams are exhausted, working around the clock to treat the wounded. Léo Cans, MSF head of mission for Palestine provided us with an account of what he is witnessing.
