Time: 8 - 9PM (NZST)
Applying to work for an organisation like Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is something that people often think about for months, if not years, before deciding the time is right to apply. We often receive applications from people with the right attitude but who need to gain additional experience to be successful in the complex and varied contexts in which we work.
In this webinar we will be discussing one of the key essential criteria for all international positions - experience working in low-resource and/or remote settings. You will learn about why we require this and how to gain this experience to strengthen your application.
We will be joined by a few of our Internationally Mobile Staff (IMS) who will share their experiences in low-resource and/or remote settings, and how the skills and methods they learned were helpful in preparing them for humanitarian work. They’ll speak about the projects they have worked on, and what they wished they knew before going on their first assignment.
