The people of Gaza are struggling to survive in catastrophic conditions, with an overwhelming need for medical and humanitarian aid. The possibility of an enduring ceasefire and any respite for Palestinians would be welcome after 15 months of brutal conflict, following the escalation in violence on 7 October 2023.

GAZA

OUR RESPONSE

Our teams have witnessed some of the most horrific attacks on civilians that we have ever seen during our more than 50 years as an organisation.

MSF has been providing surgical support, wound care, physiotherapy, maternity and paediatric care, primary healthcare, vaccinations, and mental health services to the people of Gaza.

A ceasefire would allow us to focus on rebuilding lives and treating the indescribable trauma felt across communities.

Your support will help us provide humanitarian support for people in Gaza and other emergency situations, such as in Sudan and Haiti.

INDEPENDENT. NEUTRAL. IMPARTIAL.

FUNDED BY INDIVIDUALS

MSF was founded in 1971 in Paris in the belief that all people should have access to healthcare regardless of gender, race, religion or political affiliation.

Today, we are a worldwide movement of nearly 65,000 people. We work in over 70 countries providing medical care where the need is greatest. Our actions are guided by medical ethics and the principles of impartiality, independence and neutrality. We are a non-profit, self-governed, member-based organisation.

HOW IS YOUR DONATION SPENT?

Your donation to MSF helps to provide medical aid to people affected by crisis, disasters and war in places like Democratic Republic of Congo, Myanmar, Papua New Guinea, Syria, Yemen and beyond.

Every dollar we receive comes from individuals like you. It’s only with this support that we can reach and care for people living in extreme circumstances – no matter who they are, no matter where they are.

We have an immense respect for our supporters and the use of Médecins Sans Frontières funds are tightly controlled and the audited financial reports are publicly available.

How is your donation spent?

Unless otherwise specified, contributions to Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) are directed to our general emergency fund, which is what we draw upon to deliver lifesaving healthcare wherever it’s needed around the world. Such unrestricted general donations give us the ability to direct funds where the needs are greatest, including under-reported and neglected crises.
