One year on from the escalation of war in Gaza, the violence and suffering continues. Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) staff have witnessed the inhumane violence and attacks on civilians, the systematic dismantling of the health system, and the continuous mass displacement of people—all leading to the overwhelming medical and humanitarian needs.

WHAT ARE MSF DOING IN GAZA?

Our teams have witnessed some of the most horrific attacks on civilians that we have ever seen during our more than 50 years as an organisation. We need an enduring ceasefire, to prevent further unnecessary suffering of civilians and urgently allow the flow of aid.

MSF are offering surgical support, wound care, physiotherapy, maternity and paediatric care, primary healthcare, vaccinations, and mental health services, but sieges and evacuation orders on various hospitals are pushing our activities onto an ever-smaller territory and limited response.

Malnutrition is now a reality, communicable diseases are spreading, and clean water is scarce. The unhygienic and appalling living conditions are directly impacting people’s health. MSF teams are providing an average of 110,000 litres of safe drinking water per day. However, this is nowhere near enough.

Your support will help us continue to reach patients requiring urgent medical attention, no matter who or where they are.

Unless otherwise specified, contributions to Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) are directed to our general emergency fund, which is what we draw upon to deliver lifesaving healthcare wherever it’s needed around the world. Such unrestricted general donations give us the ability to direct funds where the needs are greatest, including under-reported and neglected crises.
